Quick Revelation

Had a rough set tonight.

But then the Lord spoke to me about how my greatness isn’t going to be brought about my way.

He’s going to do it His way. Which includes the current worship set and the current “boring” (my opinion) same old worship song.

Basically my pride is getting in the way of my greatness. If I want to be great in God, I have to do it His way. Be a servant. And though I don’t always love the chords we play on stage it doesn’t mean that the Lord doesn’t have something for someone. So I should listen, and see what the Spirit is saying.

Elections

pa090013I am convinced, no matter who wins, America needs mercy.

We need a change toward righteousness.

We need time to change, and time to heal.

We need humility.

Jesus is our only hope.

No other man can give America what it needs most; Mercy.

These are my only thoughts on the elections.

Hope you had a pleasant voting experience.

Conviction

So I just deleted a post.  Most probably never read it.  But I had the revelation that it was more of a prideful rant than something eddifying or encouraging.

If you read it and were slimed I’m sorry.

Pride is one of those things… and I’ve got a lot of it… which is bad… I repent… help God!

James 4:7-8 (paraphrased) Humble yourself before God, oppose the devil and he will leave you.  Come near to Abba and He will come near to you.  Wash your hands, change your ways; and repent from your hearts not merely your exterior before men.

This is what I need to do… I need to go low… I feel better now 🙂

Bless you dear readers, (if your out there…)

p.s. This is from a commentary on biblegateway.com it’s a really good commentary written about James 4:4-12 (at least I’m enjoying it). This paragraph is primarily about verse 4.

“James simply writes with a stronger conviction of the seriousness of sin than most of us are willing to hold. In fact he writes with a sense of moral outrage. Consider Davids’s rendering of the beginning of this paragraph: ” `Adulteresses!’ the author cries” (1982:160). We should accept James’s terms, learn from his acute sense of moral right and wrong, and apply it to ourselves in fear of the judgment that comes to any who are not true Christians. Harboring bitter envy and selfish ambition, with the actions of fighting and quarreling, makes us adulterous people who are treating God with hatred and enmity.

I got really convicted when reading the underlined part… it kinda started the whole “I should delete that post” idea.  The words in italics really hit home.  Wow, I love Jesus, I’m glad He uses things like commentaries, and the Word to convict my heart, so that more intense/painful things don’t have to happen for me to pay attention and repent.  God gives grace to the humble, Amen?
